John and Sarah Traynor and their family

Post by chrismartin73 »

I am researching my ancestor John Traynor who was born in County Cavan Ireland in 1861. He is shown on the 1891 Census as living in 66 Dickson Road? Widnes with his wife Sarah and children Peter, William and Ann. Strangely the 1901 Census has a Peter Trainor living with his wife Sarah in Elliot Road? and children Peter, William and Ann. There are also five more children, Joseph, Elizabeth, James, Mary and Thomas. I understand that John Traynor and Peter Trainor are the same person and would be grateful to learn what happened to his family, and why their names were changed. Many thanks :?

The 1891 census is I believe is a transcription error, looks like Peter on the census form?

Seems like I have been barking up the wrong tree with John Traynor. That is definitely Peter Traynor in the 1891 Census. Thanks to everyone for your help :)
