Joshua Hewitt 1769-1839 Watchmaker.
Married Ann Rimmer in 1788
2nd marriage Martha Leyland 1810

I have a photo of his grave in Prescot St Marys churhyard

My poser is I cannot find his parents. A hunch is Joshua Hewitt born 1736, but only a guess. Thank you Phil Hewitt

The abode of Joshua Hewitt who was buried in 1839 age 70, was Eccleston, is this right for your Joshua?

Have you checked to see who else is buried in the grave to see if it was a family grave?

Have you checked any Wills to see if Joshua or other family members might be mentioned in them?

It would be an advantage to others if you were to edit your post to give the details of the marriages and any other valid information that you have.

As per suggestion about wills try the wills on Family Search you will need to be registered and signed in but access is free and from home you don't need to go anywhere:-

Curiosity got the better of me. There's lots of jargon in it I spotted mentions of son Thomas and Joseph and wife Lydia, no sign of a son Joshua. If you are registered and signed in you can view it here:-
