Identifying WW2 Plane

Post by Horsley2016 »

Hello there.

I have a very sketchy side on photograph of my grandfather who was a Sergeant RAF (non pilot) WW2 based Lincoln area - possibly Nocton/ Coleby but I'm not sure - definitely Lincoln though.

If anyone fancies having a go at trying to find out what the plane is please let me know - I couldn't see anywhere to insert an image here so presume it needs to be done through a private message.

Thank you!

I believe Lincolnshire was known as the Bomber County during WW2 (The Dambusters squadron were based at RAF Scampton)
