Edmund Bradshaw b c 1755 in Liverpool?
Re: Edmund Bradshaw b c 1755 in Liverpool?
Thanks all . A lot to go on. I will try to investigate over the week end on St Nicks. The only problem is that I have visitors
be back soon.

Re: Edmund Bradshaw b c 1755 in Liverpool?
Right, they slept in this morning. I searched St Nicks on Lancs OPc and there were only 6 matches of a Jones with an Alice. , between 1790 and 1810. I then looked up these names for deaths between 1810 and 1812. Apart from "John" the only match I have found is Thomas Jones a butcher who married Alice Whitehead , a widow, (I could cry) in 11 Dec 1805 at St Nicks.
He was buried , but no church named ," Thomas Jones, Butcher, buried 26 November 1810 Abode Gilbert Street aged 38." From Liverpool church of England burials an Anx.
The occupation was given so I would think it is a definite match with that marriage, but whether that is the correct marriage I don't know. How could I find the church to see if there was a MI that might give more details. Thanks

Lynne,
Sight needed of Alice Whitehead's signature to see if the (Alice) matches Alice Jones/Bradshaw.

Will see if I can find their marriage cert.

Alice Whitehead made her mark. Oh dear back to the drawing board, I think.
Unless she learnt to write in the few years inbetween, because Thomas Jones could.

I looked at the image on Anx and it shows "X" Alice Whitehead, her mark. Have looked at LOPC again and don't understand, perhaps you could explain further. Thanks Lynne

Thanks Lynne,
Unfortunate, it's only by the signature I think there's a chance of progress.
