Can a kind soul please confirm the above gentleman's birth date as, 19 January, 1908, on the 39 register, I can't think where else I could have obtained it, other than when I had access to the 39.
Living in Birkenhead, married to Doris, nee, Barker.
Thank you,
George Henry Goodwin

Hi Bert
Using the free search I eventually got it using 9 June 1908, George H Goodwin, Birkenhead, also ? Goodwin and two more people on the record.

Thanks Blue,
I still can't think where the 19 January came from, the family on the 39 will be the correct one, he married Doris Barker in 1933 and stayed in Birkenhead until his death in 1964.
Memories from many moons ago, I recall mention of him being Welsh and there was a George Henry Goodwin registered, 1Qtr, Forden, 1908, 11b 155. Unfortunately, GRO hasn't published a mothers maiden name for him.
Thanks again.

Re: George Henry Goodwin
It's a very bad image and I can see why it would be confused between 9 and 19, wife's name hasn't even been transcribed.
I have sent you an email with my thoughts.

Re: George Henry Goodwin
I know photobucket is down for maintenance at the mo, anybody got any other good sites for sharing? I believe the number is 9 and what looks like the 1 is the tail from the line above, but others may think differently.

Thanks again Mary,
The month is more important at the moment, as it may help towards the likely registration.
