This man was an officer in the Northants Regiment and attached as Observer in the Royal Flying Corps in 1916, when a plane in which he was flying crashed at Catterick, Yorkshire. He is listed in the Book of Remembrance at St Anne's, Aigburth, and some years ago I found him listed as a boarding pupil at St Edward's School, Oxford in the 1911 census. Oddly I cannot find that entry again via Ancestry. It gave his place of birth as Liverpool, and FreeBMD shows a registration in Q2 1897.
I cannot find anything in 1901 and would be glad of expert help in tracing names of parents and anything else about him.
Thanks
Daggers
EDIT
Sorry to have bothered anyone reading this, but I returned to Anc, found the 1901 entry and 1911 as well. Odd how it works!!!

Glad you got sorted - Ancestry, as we all know, has a mind of it's own when it decides to let you find entries.
