Who Do You Think You Are? New series

Post by Karen »

New series on in the autumn. Looking forward to the Ricky Tomlinson episode as there are quite a few carters in my family.

Yes I'll look forward to that episode. Some of my people were carters. The Echo show its ignorance of genealogy with the cringeworthy sentence, "The show follows the Tomlinson family tree back until the late 1800’s when records for working class families began."

Have patience and wait and see, there must be something to commend it - could all his ancestors really be the same as him?

I suspect they might be. :)

It sounds as though it might be a really good episode, exploring the lives of ordinary people.

Elsewhere, 'links to Royalty' really don't interest me at all, I'm afraid. :|

I too prefer "ordinary" people as the way of life would by far resemble those of our own ancestors.
