So as you may all remember I was very sceptical about having Roman Catholics in my family until just a few short months ago.
I read somewhere just the past few days where Joyce Culling the founder of this society said something like "be prepared to be surprised at what you find" I'm paraphrasing here, but today I really was surprised!! I found out I am related to a quite "well known" Roman Catholic priest who was the head of a boys industrial school in Manchester. Father Thomas Quick is my 1st cousin 4 times removed who was born in Blackburn and died in the USA.
I always call Joyce "the fount of all knowledge" and has such good advice, and she's been proved right again!
What an amazing find you've had, I would think Thomas Quick has a few stories to tell of a life like that.

I know Mary!! I posted it here because none of my family are interested in family history and I had to tell somebody and also to reiterate what Joyce said about keeping an open mind.
