Hello, I think I may have found my 3 x g. grandmother sent to Kirkdale for receiving stolen goods.
On a petition signed by her husband he says he is a Clerk to Messrs. Jas. Widdowson Co. of Lime Street could SKS please look this up in a directory.
If this is who I think it is then I have pages written by my 3 x g. grandfather in his own handwriting!!

I'm not certain if these Widdowson joiners had both addresses in these directories it looks like they had a yard in Lime Street. Gore's Directory 1829 Gore's Directory 1834

There would have been non-manual work in such a business so yes there would have been clerical work involved.
