Lost Street in Liverpool

Post by alanwalker14 »

Anyone know of a street called what I think is Ethiopea according to the 1871 census. It was in the Everton/Kirkdale area of Liverpool. Could not find it on the 1901 list of streets.

I believe it was close to the corner of Kirkdale Road and Smith Street, just off Foley Street.

How unusual! Ethiopia and not too far away Zante Street too. Wonder what the history is behind those names.
