Burial Place

Post by lin »

I am trying to find out where Alice Mary Ann Maguire is buried. She died on the 23rd March 1928 aged 65 years, at 4 Ho 4 Ct Cheapside. She had lost a few children and they are buried at Ford cemetery but in a communal grave. Also she did not live in Cheapside when the children died. She was born in Ireland and i know her children were baptised catholic. I am coming to Liverpool Thursday and Friday so will go the library one day but just wanted a clue as to which cemetery to start with.
Just can't seem to get over on a Tuesday at the moment.
I don't think she is at Ford cemetery.
Thanks
Lin

Hi lin

If there's no sign of them at Ford, Yew Tree or Walton Park (burial records on Ancestry) I would think there's a good chance they're in an RC section at Anfield.

Went to Anfield cemetery on Monday and Bob took us to where Alice was buried. It was a public grave but he said you can buy a flat piece about brick thick and have her name and dates put on it as long as you bury it to be equal to the grass so as it does not affect the mowing. The council does not object to this. I thought it was lovely so going to see what we can get that would be suitable.
Now to find her husband???
