Hi folks, yesterday we broke an 83 year old record of temps over 40c...today we did one better, broke that record 7 days straight of temps over 40c. This morning it was 41.5 at 11 am...Not a soul on our beautiful Waikiki beach, who could blame them...better to sit in the bath ha ha. As I write at 6.30 it's 38c..overnight min 25.
Cooling down over the weekend to 33..and warming up again by Tuesday, only 39c.
I don't complain, because I think back to the pioneers who came here so long ago, especially the women wearing heavy English clothes, men in trousers etc and the nuns in their dreadful habits up in the far north west.

Re: Having a heatwave
Can we have just a little bit of that warmth over here please Tina, it's getting quite chilly, and often wet - but not from a bath.

Perhaps Tina knows about these from first handdaggers wrote:I don't think we should be told about nuns' habits...

Of course it does depend on what habits they get up to.

Mary & Richard, you wags!! Fair dinkum, the poor nuns had to wait 5 years before Rome said okay to them wearing cotton habits. It was 48c in the shade in the far north all week.
