Hi bell I think that Agnes a was my grandfather john gore b 1/4/1929 everyone called him jack tho. I only tried again over the weekend by chance as I was stuck as my mum now passed also said father as we called him never spoke of his childhood only the rumour that his parents were killed in the liverpool blitz? I don't understand how he became a gore if Agnes married George bell? Any information will be greatly appreciated thanks.

John Gore, 1929, West Derby, 8b 1126, mothers maiden name, Loane.

The only marriage I could find, a possible?

Arthur Gore/ Margaret Loane, 1904, Toxteth Park, 8b 287.

That was that terrible civilian disaster in the Durning Road shelter. I went to school near there and our school caretaker used to tell us all about it, it was a well known disaster in Edge Hill even many years after the war.

Thank you Berti had the right family wrong sibling. Margaret Sloane is my great grandmother her husband Arthur was killed in the durning street bombing and have found a plaque commemorating all that sadly lost their lives. I can't find much about Margaret though does anybody have any old pictured of all the family together only have 1 passport picture of my father jack he never had many pictures in his flat apart from his kids and an old one from when he was in the army. I would think it unlikely that any random person would have photographs of another family, I hope one of the previous posters may be able to help you.

Hello Chez 1984 ,yes I am not to sure earthier as I said in my previous post Agnes A Loane became Bell when she married George Bell ,and they had 18 children running from George the eldest down to Richard the youngest my father was Thomas who sadly passed away last January at 91 due to an operation on his leg he would have been the one to have known who was who Richard is still alive but in poor health and there is their sister Mable in the US she is 94. There are many cousins but I don't know what information they would have one who might know is Linda Ireland was Bell Jackies daughter. If I can help please let me know thanks yours David Bell

Hi, my great, great grandfather was Archibald Loane his wife was Margaret Turner I am not sure how many children they had, I know of William and Emma and my great grandmother who was Anne.
I have photos of Archibald and Margaret, and also the 3 children I have mentioned.
I will gladly scan them to you.

Hello.
I am new to this thread and am not related but I have been looking at some of the war-related inscriptions at Toxteth Park Cemetery. There is a standard War Graves Commission headstone for William Loane, at C.10.395, but the CWGC's record does not include details of his family link.
There is also a civilian headstone which refers to a Gore lost in the Navy in WW1. I have details if he is connected.
