Hi
Antonio Ventre born 1870 Italy and died 1952 Liverpool was living with his wife and family at 47 Radcliffe Street Liverpool in 1911. I understand from my cousin that Antonio had a public house and it may have been at this address. Can anyone help me with information, please?
Regards
John
The Ventre Family
Re: The Ventre Family
I have a copy of thr City of Liverpool Licensing Book for 1909. There is only one pub listed for Radcliffe Street, the Mona Vaults, at 99. The tenant was JG Lawrence and the owner the Birkenhead Brewery Co.
However, at 14 Napier Street [no name for the pub] Minnie Ventre was licensee and tenant, the owners were Robinsons Brewery (an old Liverpool Company, not the present Stockport lot). There was a side entrance to Radcliffe Street.
Hope this helps.
