The drawer holding these films are clearly marked, you won't miss it.

One of those in the Archives is probably the Punishment Book, you may need to prove death of the person you are enquiring about if you wish to look at this.

Thanks for that info Mary, all being well I hope to visit tomorrow and have ordered the files. I hope they don't need death certificates as I have none, only dates from the BMD death indexes with the help of my mum for dates when she thought they'd died.

The letter book files were not what I expected, I had assumed they would be some kind of correspondence about the children. Wrong.

They were letters from the worthies of the town thanking the board for being appointed a trustee of the school.

They didn't seem to name any children Mary, just thanks and acceptances for being appointed to the board of governors.
