I have only just gotten back into doing my family tree, except for a little dabble here and there it's been about 10 years How time flies.
Anyway I was just looking at a marriage certificate I had ordered in 2005 and then lost interest so upon re-examining it I found something I must have missed before.
The couple were married in "the Parish church in the Parish of Liverpool in the county of Lancaster"
How do I find out which church this was please? It looks like they both gave their address as Springfield St.
Also the bride has as her age minor. How old is she likely to be? (1866)
St Peter's was the main church for Liverpool, in Church Street and was demolished in 1922, you could see many photographs of it if you google.

I probably still have them on a floppy disc!!! I was a moderator on a Liverpool genealogy forum at one time and was right into it so I am past being a newbie once I get back into it again!!
Yesterday I went to the OnLine Parish Clerk for the County of Lancashire site
to find the marriage I have the certificate for but it doesn't come up in my search. I have looked everywhere on that site but I can't find a contact to see how complete the records are as I was going to look for other family members.
On the OPC site you can go via Parishes through Liverpool, to the individual Parishes to find St Peters, then on the left you will see links for Baptisms, Marriages and Burials. Marriages transcribed on this site appear to end in 1862 so would be just before the one you have. http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Liverpool/Liv ... index.html
