Family time at my house and not much computer time but now I log on I find that many of you have been hard at work, perhaps making use of the free weekend on Ancestry.
Hope you have all had a lovely Easter Sunday with not too much choccie - or perhaps just enough choccie

Happy Easter everyone! I have been able to make good use of the free Ancestry weekend and have been busy! I have been able to add a great deal of information. I've also been able to confirm through several sources that Pudsey Dawson Esq. the former mayor of Liverpool from 1799-1800, was my great great great great grandfather!
I've got interconnecting trees of English peerage, middle and upper class English and Scottish ancestry, as well as a mix of working class ancestors. Tracking 10 British Home Children and four fostered by Barnardo's in England, and discovered that the various families on both sides of the Atlantic helped each other immigrate to their new home.
I've also uncovered more military service, a connection to the King's Liverpool Regiment and unfortunately a casualty of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
I only wish my dad were still here to share this with him.
Well done Ken, you will have to take advantage of any £1 offers for Findmypast also to see if they have any complementary databases to find more information.
