Look Up Request

Post by lynne99 »

The on line parish clerk for Lancashire have lots of St Peters registers.
http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/indexp.html
I do know they have 1849/50 missing in parts .

I am looking for my GGrand mother Mary Jane Howard who was on the 1851 census aged 2, but I can't find her birth registration or baptism. Her older siblings were baptised at St Peters. If you could look when you are at the records office that would be great :) It would be late 48 or 49
Lynne

Sorry the records fo St Peter's marriage only go to 1862 at the moment. :(

I don't believe this post has any connection with the topic it was attached to.

My trips to the Record Office have limited research time available as I do assist at the Help Desk which is the whole of the afternoon.

I do try to help with look ups but need the detail to check for - year and quarter at least as there are hundreds of entries for St Peters.

Hi Lynne can you please give us the reference for 1851 census for Mary aged 2 years. I've found a Mary J 2 yrs to James and Jane in Tox Park. 10 year gap to older bro Wm and a new baby James 4 months old. Perhaps Jane was James second wife?
Thanks

There's only one birth registration that fits the baptism info provided by Alex...
Births Sep 1848: HOWARD, Mary Jane - W. Derby 20 943

If you apply to the GRO for a cert you should specify the parents' names. Then, in the unlikely event that entry isn't the correct one, the GRO will refund the fee in full.
