No promises - it's on the end of a very long list.

I am new at this search thing. Can you please give me some pointers. How do I get information from those resources?

Richard, with you not being able to pay a visit, contact by email for a search, remember a fee is charged.

Hi Richard,
May I suggest you post a scan of William Charles' marriage cert on the forum. Might be something there that could give a lead as to who and where he was in 1911 and earlier.

Even angels can't always work miracles. Unfortunately there is a large part of the Electoral Registers for the 20th Century that are neither in microfilm, nor available book form and need to be ordered to view at the archives. The two dates in question are part of this period.

This was looked up for me by one of the archive staff. The two people listed would have been the only people eligible to vote at that date in that house.

MaryA...thanks for that information...I was hoping that name, Thomas Taylor, was the witness listed on William Charles Bailey's marriage record but it was not.
But the good news is that I made contact with a person on another site that has the information about William Charles Bailey that I am looking for. We are in the "talking" stage and I think she has the family connections that I am looking for. No proof just yet, but her William Bailey was born in 1895 in St Peter Port, Guernsey so I have hope this is my angel.

It would be good if you posted the link to the other forum to ensure no duplication of research is done.

Mary..could you please find out who is registered to vote at 74 Chester Road, Liverpool. The others you found for me was for the year 1915, is that the last year for records or is they some closer to 1919?

Thanks. Richard

There are some nearer to 1919 but not indexed.

I don't get to the Record Office often, and when I do it is to help host the Help Desk on a Tuesday afternoon between 1.30 - 4.00 pm which is very busy, often having up to nearly 30 visitors.

I can't make any promises that I can do look ups.

Thanks and I understand, you only can do so much with what time you have.

Looks like the connection to my William Charles Bailey of 1895 is through Guernsey. I will keep you posted when I get a reply from the Ancestry contact.

Richard
