That's a great coincidence, don't quite know how it all fits together but reckon it must somehow.

Thanks to all.
There appear to be a gaggle of Fultons in the marine service.1881 William/Mary are still in Steele St. Yes, he was a marine fireman. Note Catherine Gray is now married to Michael O`Brien with daughter Mary. 1st marriage cert confirms James Henry Gray, mariner, as her father. Second marriage to Patrick Duffy 1884

1881 in Barmouth St. another Mary Fulton w/o marine fireman - same family
1891 Lyons St. with husband,Edward now classed as dock labourer & another off-spring named Laurence. so likely named Laurence father of William in the 1871 census.

1891 32 Boreland St Mary & William have a servant & boarders.

Alice Grey is a new name for me but there must be a connection with the Fultons.

I have been searching with no luck for a John Fulton/Margaret Gray marriage, baptisms of their children and a marriage for Alice. I did find a John Gray aged 1 living in Jordon St with the Lively(good name)family in JORDON ST. 1851 census. As Alice is in the same street in 1861 I think he could be hers.
