I sent an email enquiry to the court last week about the possibility of me looking at the probate index but, so far, have not had a reply.Education Officer wrote: I wonder if she left a will. She died after the probate index on line but you would be able to find out either by checking the later probate index which will be at your nearest Probate Court. In Liverpool it is at the Queen Elizabeth Court or you could apply for a will in the hope that she left one but that has a charge whether they find one or not.

If you mean Liverpool courts you just go there and ask for the Probate Office after you have been through security.

Re: Charles Proctor/Procter Wilson & family
Thanks. I've not been there before so emailed to enquire about what to do. Looking at the opening hours, I'll have to wait until I'm on holiday from work before I can go.

These places are most inconsiderate - always keeping office hours!

Aren't they just?!

Re: Charles Proctor/Procter Wilson & family
Update!
Thanks to https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills, I've discovered that Mary Isabel Beatrice Wilson left a Will which should, hopefully, be available for me to view by December 27th.
Still drawing a complete blank on what became of her parents, Charles Procter Wilson & Charlotte Wilson (nee Mills) however!

Re: Charles Proctor/Procter Wilson & family
Here's hoping at least one of them was mentioned in the Will to give a clue.

I think this may the position in church yard? It says ? north east end, as do some of the other entries in the register.. another says south west end and another says north side of church

eg entry for Maria Elizabeth Allsop says ?no.71.North east end?
and I think his says ?.no1.North East end... but can't make out first abbreviation on any of them
Wonder if this child is connected?

Re: Charles Proctor/Procter Wilson & family
I had a quick seach online with regards to Henry Procter Wilson. There is a post on ancestry from 15 years ago which refers to him as the son of George & Emily Wilson. I've not been able to confirm this as yet.
Re: Charles Proctor/Procter Wilson & family
I have the will of Mary Isabel Beatrice Wilson. No family clues, unfortunately, but she did leave everything to her friend (who lived at the same address) and the rest to the RC Church where her funeral service took place.
I have contacted a couple of people who are researching the family of her friend to see if they have any information.
Still no closer to finding her parents!
