1841 census

Post by Peter Jolliffe »

I have a reference of HO107/557/14 Folio14 Ed 19 family of Davies.
Anyone know how to view the page on Ancestry or FMP as the search engines do not find the family

Over to you clever clogs :-)
Peter.

Note to self "Engage brain before asking stupid questions"

Have sorted it.

Just as an observation, because the computer says NO doesn't mean it's not there. They are there but computer says NO

Open an image roughly in the area, at the top left is a breadcrumb menu. By clicking on Liverpool a drop down district menu appears , choose the district then ed etc and browse away.

The above works on Ancestry not tried FMP

Hadn't realised your problem was with entering the reference - just open the 1841 Census Collection, then below the menu there is a list - choose 1841 England Census and make sure you have "Show Advanced" checked and all the boxes are there to enter the details.

And... to search on FMP using just the Census Summary Page Reference do the following:
Access the individual year by selecting 'Search Records', then 'Search all Records'. The option to select 'Census' will then be available. Choose the Census year you want to search and the Census reference fields, Piece, Folio and Page number, will then be available. :)
