Since we have 5 pages on this topic, to save backtracking to check relevant data, could you post this FR's entry in the 1911 census? Or ideally, set up a new topic?

You will need the birth cert for him to get that important DoB unless you can find a baptism cert with that info on it. The year of birth on a census is calculated when being transcribed, not when the census was taken. And, unfortunately the age written on the Household Return by the Head of household can be out by a couple of years.

That said, FreeBMD has these births in Liverpool for the years 1902 to 1906...
Births Jun 1903: ROGERS, Frederick Thomas - W. Derby 8b 556
Births Jun 1904: Rogers, Frederick Theodore - Toxteth Park 8b 235

Births Dec 1904:
Rogers, Frederick - W. Derby 8b 616
Rogers, Frederick William - Toxteth Park 8b 223

Births Mar 1905: Rogers, Frederick Baker - W. Derby 8b 671

The first one in Dec 1904 looks promising but you will need to state the parents' names when applying to the GRO.

To continue...
Assuming the Dec qtr 1904 birth of a Frederick Rogers is the correct one, this is a good match...
Death: FREDERICK ROGERS
Date of Birth: 13 Nov 1904
Death year/qtr: 1971 / Jun qtr
District: CROSBY, Lancashire
Volume: 10C; Page: 232

If the birth cert is correct [parents etc] and the DoB matches then this is the death of your FR.

Post by curriesimpson »

Can i please thank you for all those who have helped my in finding my relatives. I have since discovered a lot more than i ever thought i could... my father's uncle, Duncan Currie married Emily Isabel Stone and on her side I have gone back to 1480 linking to 2 prime ministers (WilliamPitt the elder and the younger) and numerous others inc. a Joseph Bridger, who set up the oldest Protestant church in North America in 1632,

Thank you
