Trying to put together a bio for the heroes buried in Walton Parochial Cemetery and for one of these I have come across this anomaly.

Everything from the Death Date downwards appears to refer to this Marine but his date of birth appears to be 28 June 1874 and birthplace is somewhere in Lincolnshire. He enlisted in 1893 which is three years earlier than the date of birth they have given.
Does anybody have any idea what documents this entry has used to create this collection? I'm a bit mystified.
PS. I do have his burial and grave details, and Royal Marines Medal Roll, also that George John Clarke married Eliza Florence Harwood in Q4 1907 Grimsby.
She is visiting 77 Ling Street in 1911, the family of John and Violet Jones and their children Thomas and Violet Elizabeth. Born in 1884 she gives her place of birth as Unglebee, Lincolnshire. 93 Bold Street is a Savings Bank so may have been used as a contact address if she returned to Lincolnshire, although this is also the address given for George John's burial.
Don't have George himself in the 1911 census or 1901 - don't go wild searching for his whole family history, I know what you are like when you get the bit between your teeth
as far back as 1901 is enough if it confirms his parents.
