A birth registration for 1912 will give the mother's maiden name. In this case it appears to be Hampson.

You can access the Ancestry website in your local library and using that you will be able to see George's marriage and his baptism. You will also be able to access the census and find the Davidsons and the Curries on the various census.

Your subject line includes Simpson. Where does that name fit in the 'scheme of things'? Is the connection this marriage?

JANE A DAVIDSON married THOMAS SIMPSON

Matching the name in the marriage above I think this could be his birth...
Births Dec 1909: Simpson, Thomas - Toxteth Park 8b 194

There are two possible Thomas Simpsons in the 1910+1 so we need his father's name from the marriage cert to be sure [to be sure! :D ].

I am upto 1847 with George P Davidson and his wife Mary A .......... from Ruthin, Wales, which is unbelievable, as i have just moved there last year, its only a small place that hasnt really chaged in the last 600 years ,her house would probably still be there. How can i find out where and what was her maiden name. I'm truly gob smacked, my father was the one that thought he was part Welsh and it looks like my mother has beat him to it. THANKS AGAIN.

Where did you get the year 1847 from? Is it a typo for 1841? If yes please tell us the census reference so we can see the relevant page.

Mary Ann Jones, bn, Wrexham 1848,
married George in the Parish of St Peter's Liverpool, 1868.

Advice is, take up the offer of help from Simone, if you haven't already done so.
