Ancestry have a range of forms in .pdf form you can download and print. Hoping you don't need to have a subscription to access them.

Many thanks Mary, Ihave plenty of blank charts and forms, i want to load a chart or form into a window and use my keyboard to add information, very similar to having a template.

Sorry I obviously misunderstood your meaning. There is a list of Forms available via the familysearch site here http://www.genealogicalstudies.com/eng/forms.asp perhaps it's one of those you were using.

John - not sure if you have MS Word or MS Excel but this blog provides some really good templates which I have changed slightly to my own personal preferences to use.

Many thanks Mary and Steve,I think Word could be the answer. I have Omni Page Pro programme but not been able to master it, the idea is any thing you scan the programme converts it into a document and you are able to do what you like with the text.
