Isle of Man help?

I have been looking for a death of John Henry Blyth, born in Wavertree in 1863, and found as single in 1901 and 1911 censuses, the last in Liscard, Wirral.
Access to old newspapers has produced a death notice in the Echo, 10 May 1916, giving his death on 6 May 1916 at "Claughbane Farm, Ramsey, IoM", and "beloved husband of Frances B."
FreeBMD has not revealed anything on this marriage, and little appears about this farm via Google.

Any suggestions for tracing a marriage would be very useful.

Wonder if the death is for the same person, it's very close to the marriage.

I get a feeling that this might be the spouse, it's a little confusing as the "Liscard, Cheshire" comes under the heading of Parish/Town but the Registry Office Ramsey is the where married.

Bingo! The lady in qiestion was his landlady in 1911, in Liscard, so all seems to fit. Now to get the certs to make sure.

Oh great result! Perhaps they had formed a relationship and then made a marriage when he wasn't too well and thought it would make leaving his estate to her a bit easier.

Thanks, Blue. I checked with the website but found the church has been closed, so no details available about headstone inscription available, but I have sent for a death cert (£10!).

Isle of Man family history society have made a list of nearly every MI on the isle. They are very helpful and enabled me to find family graves there.

Manx Museum's family history section in Douglas has IOM FHS publications on the shelves that you can browse through containing burial and inscription transcripts.
