Could anyone with access to merchant navy records let me know if there are any records relating to Joseph A Murphy born Liverpool 1901. Joseph left Liverpool around 1919 arriving in Australia and from there went on to New Zealand where he remained until his death,

Most records for Merchant Seamen are held at the National Archives. We have also put together a few suggestions for research here http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... 14&t=12890 Hope these help.
