Prison records

Post by Joy Rees »

Is there a record anywhere that I could check for a family member who might have been in trouble? From memory she had a close connection with a Probation Officer in Wallasey and it is difficult to see them as friends.

If you are talking before 1900 I would think the old newspapers would be a good place to search.

Many thanks to dickiesam and Mary A. I think from 1900 - 1920. I might try back copies of Echo.

Where is the person you are seeking info about in the 1911 census? Did any other 'connected' event such as a marriage or a birth occur within that 2 decade time-frame? If we had a name we might be able to help.
