Still searching for evans. Could any one do a lookup for a john evans, spouse ann at St Nicholas Liverpool 25/10/1829, taken from family search.

Wonder if John realises that as the marriage was before civil registration there won't be any more information than he already has.

Hi, Many thanks Hilary, Bert and Mary, I can now accept that Evans was Ann's maiden name. I was expecting to see the couples fathers name and occupation and the witnesses which is not shown on this OPC Project entry. Mary would you be able to look up the full information for me.? Thanks john

As Hilary advised, this could be found on Ancestry, tells you no more than you already have. Edward Lovatt appears to be a professional witness, he appears on many certificates. John Evans may have been requested to witness the marriage before them as his name appears on that of George Lockley, Shipwright and Elizabeth Pickup.

When I looked for the marriage I noticed there were other John Evans marrying an Ann. You may wish to check on lances opc.
