William Harrison update

Post by Glenys »

My original query has been transferred to the Military page but I thought I'd let you know of my latest success.

I've found William and his wife's grave (my great-grandparents) yesterday. Using the St. Helens cemetery records which are online, I found the reference. Went to the Cemetery Office to ask for directions to the right Section. I not only received a full map of the Cemetery but a photo of the grave!! Great service by the Cemetery staff. Apparently the 'men' of the Cemetery staff have taken some photos.

Just thought you'd like to hear of a success instead of always reading about 'brickwalls' and queries.

That's great Glenys, it's always pretty amazing when you find a grave, good on "the men", wish all cemeteries were as conscientious.
