Not really sure what information you actually want for these soldiers, but I have as a distant relative in my tree, Albert's brother, Alfred James Becalick, who was married to one of my Owen ancestors.
Is it just military information you need, or background lives? Sorry to sound so vague on the matter

At the end of all this there will be two projects, one giving the military details and one to include a biograph of our heroes, ie families etc. So at this stage we will collect all information.

As some of the entries, even from the CWGC site only include initials, family relationships often make it clear what the correct name is.

Hi Erica,

It looks like the medals were returned - possibly because they couldn't find his next-of-kin, his service papers show his widow and children moved to Toronto Canada sometime between 1916-1920 - the note on the back of the medal card shows that his wife applied for the medals in 1927, apparently she was living in Knotty Ash. The notes on the front show that the medals were reissued.

I'm glad we have friends on our forum who are more accustomed to making sense of notes on military papers than we are, very helpful.

Thank you Amanda for explanation, totally agree with your comments, Mary :D
Albert's wife did go to Canada and returned in 1922, but think the eldest daughter remained there.
