Some sites Of Historic Reference for 19th&20th Cent

Post by VicMar1 »

While researching my family history back through the late 1800's and into the early part of the 20th Century I found myself wondering why and for what reason did certain things occur and why my ancestors moved around so much etc. and how come they arrived in Liverpool ? I needed a bit more than just a general timeline and needed a more personal background to determine the reasons for their actions and events during these periods.
More and more those answers came through a wider understanding of the general history of those times.
For that, I found the following sites very useful and quite concise (as well as most educational). I hope they are of some use to others ?
