Re: Where did Mary Bristow go?
Hi everyone
Just recieved the birth cert for Sarah Jane Bristow. Its the daughter for James and Mary Bristow (nee Johnson).
Address is 4hse, 25 ct, Bostock Street. So the burial for 1878 matches. I also found a burial for a Joseph Bristow (under Brestow), 27 feb 1873, 1/7 Bostock Street, age 4 mths, but not sure if is also thier child.
I have burials for these also
Henry Bristow, 5mths, 13ct, 4 hse, Penryn Street - Rice Lane cemetery
Joseph Bristoe, 4 yrs, 25 oct 1887, workhouse, - Rice lane cemetery.
At the moment I can't afford to buy birth certs to check them out.
Thanks for all help so far
Maxine

The 2nd Joseph is possibly the one baptised at St Joseph's on 11 October, born 24 July 1883 son of Joseph Bristow and Margaret (nee Ferns). Godmother Maria Darlington
What year was Henry?

Henry Bristow was 5months when he was buried in 1888.
Joseph Bristow as far as I can make out was the son of Joseph and Margaret Bristow nee Fearns.
Its funny how I don't seem to be able to find out if any more children where born to them. They are on the 1881 census, then nothing until I find Margaret in 1911 in Henry St, Salford, Lancs with her son James and wife Annie. I wonder where Joseph and Margaret where?
No death for Joseph either.

Re: Where did Mary Bristow go?
any news on these kiddies.... mum was Jane so maybe Mary named after her.
There is also a Mary Jane Bristow b 1874, d 1874.. buried age 9 months at Walton Park on 1/1/1875.. address Chapel Walks
also a Jane Brestow (actually Bristow I think) died 1874..8 weeks old.. buried 18 Sep 1874 at Walton Park.. address 5/51 Hornby Street...
just ideas.. one or the other may be children of James and Mary.. maybe that is why they had to marry so young

Re: Where did Mary Bristow go?
Just found out that my Mary Bristow nee Johnson re married a James Noble in 1882. It's definitely my Mary. I have James and Mary Noble on the 1911 census, married 30 years and had 2 children.
On 1891 census i have a James and mary Ann with 2 children, Fanny and Arthur, but not sure if they are my nobles. I've not found them on the 1910 census as yet.
Many thanks for all your replys

Re: Where did Mary Bristow go?
Can any one help me with a newspaper artical i found regarding James Bristow.
He was the man that fell whilst working at the shipping yard. He died 7 June 1877.
I have found it in the local newpaper, the liverpool mercury, but can't seem to find out what page i saw it on.
I would like a copy of the that artical about him. When I enquired about getting a copy, they quoted £30. I understood, you could get a copy of a page for about £5.
Can anyone help me find out how to get just a copy of this piece and not the whole newspaper, which may be the £30 price tag.
If anyone could get me a photo copy of it I will happily pay them.
thanks Maxine
