The William Grimshaw who died in1838 was buried at St Paul's Liverpool on 16 May 1838. His abode was Collingwood Street and he was 44 years old.

If Charlotte Gundry was Charlotte Grimshaw if she is 56 at death in 1871 that would make her born about 1815 a bit young to have a child in 1826 but OK to have a child in 1834.

Or am I missing something?

I found it on familysearch but can't see it on the Ancestry Liverpool Records

That's the one need to locate Charlotte and daughter on 1841 but I hate the 1841 Census. Took me 10 years to find my McArdle and McNally on that census. I had to use a fine tooth comb to find them!!!

is that St Michael in the City (Upper Pitt Street) I can look that up tomorrow and get details.

It doesn't say but then found it on the general Ancestry and it says St Michael Liverpool BTS if that's any help.

I wonder if my 1841 census index will work on Windows 7? I'll give it a go.

I had a look at the 1841 census index disc

No Charlotte or Elizabeth Grimshaw listed

No Gundry listed either

I checked any possible ones I could see but nothing there was only a couple anyway.

Hi Peter - There is a Charlotte Grimshaw on the 1841 Cencus - HO107 piece 525 folio 2/31 Page 19 living at Bengal Square Chorley. Hope it is the one you are looking for :D
