Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
Just found out that this is my great great Grandfather on my Father's side. His son Henry Edward is my father's Grandfather.
I have a very old photograph of him with his initials and address on it which has been passed down my family.
Is there anyone else out there related to him?

Re: Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
Yes thank you for your help, it's amazing. My father is the last surviving Beyer and is delighted he now knows about his Prussian grandfather.
Re: Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
How do I contact previous members who have posted about my ancestor. Namely Alane and Abeyer. I think I am related to them. I don't seem to be able to message them. Thank your for your help.
Re: Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
I'm afraid they are not Society Members and have not remained members of our forum. We don't have contact details for them.

Re: Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
Why don't you post the details about the two ancestors you named? Who are they, DoBs, and census references, etc? See if we can make a connection for you.Wrennie65 wrote:How do I contact previous members who have posted about my ancestor. Namely Alane and Abeyer. I think I am related to them. Re: Gottlieb Ferdinand Beyer
Hi Everyone !
UPDATE:
Just wanted to let you know thanks to your help, Wrennie65 and I ... ABeyer have now met !
My husband and I went to England last year and met Jen's family ( Henry Beyer's side ), his other brothers (William Beyers )line Barb and Viv, as well as my of Line Arthur L Beyer ! ( Renee and Ruth )
I have also found Ernst Beyer's line in both Brazil and Argentina ! They are on-route to England in a few weeks time. And are all Chuffed that we found each other, they had no idea they had British roots.
While in Liverpool last year another cousin, Celia toured us around Liverpool, she is Thomas Pickering-Hodson line !We went to Rumford place where Gottlieb and Thomas Ernst had their businesses, and saw the old cobblestone road leading up to the old house that was once called Ashleigh just off Walton Breck road. We also visited the old family farm in Duddleston Heath, and were welcomed to walk around our old homestead ... what a treat.
We were also in Christleton in Chester, and saw the Old Georgian home of the Pickering's called "the Ivy House". This is where Gottlieb and Louisa feel in love. As well was toured around St James Church and all of Chester by a lovely couple I met on-line David and Beryl.
Found my Great Grandfathers Arthur L Beyer in a mass grave in Wallasey for aged mariners ... that was sad, thanks to Karen who helped us with that. Sadly we did not find anyone else's, grave on the Beyer side.
Christleton, Liverpool and the old farm felt like home .. so familiar. If I had to choose between Liverpool and London, well, I would choose Liverpool in a heartbeat ! What a friendly wonderful place, everywhere we went we ran into great people and awesome architecture. So much history compared to us young 149 year old Canadians !
Thanks again for your help, Warm Regards from the Beyer family !
