Driver Hugh McGreevy-Royal Field Artillery

Post by Katie »

Tackling the wounded lists for July 1917.

Could some kind person check his medal card on Ancestry and tell me what his Regiment number is?

I have his number but I just want to confirm its the correct number

Thanks

Hi Katie,

L/2301, or L/2361, could be read as either on medal card, I'd go for the second, a bad 6.

I have him as 2301 in a wounded list published July 1917

National Archives have him as L/2351

Ancestry have him as L/2361

Its definitely not a 5,
It could be taken as a 0 or 6,
I think I'd go with the wounded list, they wouldn't have access to the medal card when they made the list up, I imagine, or would they?

No they wouldn't have access to the wounded lists at that time. Thanks Bertie
