A couple of anniversaries in the life of my Great, Great Grandmother Mary Albach coming up. It's 160 years ago this Sunday (26th May) that she came to England. The family were seen at Rotterdam going to Grimsby on 26th May 1853. She also died on 26th May in 1910 aged 62. She is mentioned on the first page of the passport (bottom left) as Maria aged 5 years old:-

Re: Mary Albach
How wonderful.
So much information on the passport as well - a valuable insight into their lives at that time.

Re: Mary Albach
That IS wonderful, at that date many of us wouldn't even have imagined of the existence of a passport but it gives such a lot of information, invaluable!
