Ancestry.co.uk

Post by Hilary »

When I go to Ancestry.co.uk I'm logged in. I put something in the search box and press search and up comes Ancestry.com and tells me to sign in!!

Also on Ancestry.co.uk it doesn't come up with the UK countries first but with All countries.

In fact it's a mess - it worked fine this morning!

Strange, mine isn't doing that, give them a call, at least it's a free phone number.

Has it been resolved this morning? I had all sorts of blips with Ancestry yesterday - things deleting and not deleting. I assumed it was gremlins in the works. It's working okay today.

No it's still odd. the response from Ancestry wasn't a bit helpful.

When I open Ancestry.co.uk on the home page I am minus the tick box at the botton for only only show results from UK and Ireland. When you pull up the countries bit it starts with the USA and only gives all countries. Then if you press search it goes to Ancestry.com and I am no longer logged in.

However

If having opened the Home Page I then go to Search in the top bar it will then open with the tick box etc and behaves as it did yesterday morning. It's just an extra faff to remember not to fill in the search on the home page but open search from the top bar.

Maybe it'll stop having a dickie fit soon!
