While going through the burial records for Kirkdale Cemetery I came across the following:-
17th October 1918 Edward Stephen McDonald aged 54 13 Luther Street
17th October 1918 Lance-Corporal Stephen McDonald aged 23 yrs 13, Luther Street
This made me curious and I did look to see if there was any obituaries for both Father and son but I could not locate one.
Lance-Corporal Stephen McDonald death was registered in Whitchurch December qtr 1918 and his Fathers death was registered West Derby in the same qtr.
Stephen was awarded the MM. I have had a look on the London Gazette but I can't locate his entry
How sad to bury both Husband/Father and son on the same day.
