The above soldier was posted as missing in action on 8th August 1916, his name appeared in a list of missing Soldiers of the King's Liverpool's published 18th September 1916.

His name appears amongst a list of 153 men recorded as Prisoner of war published 14th November 1916.
His name did not appear among the repatriated Prisoner of war list's and I have to-day located his death.
For 2 and a half years he was Prisoner, gets released and drowns on 1st of January 1919
