Men of Ormskirk who fell at the Somme

On the 98th anniversary of the opening of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July, 1916 we remember the men of Ormskirk and district who were amongst almost 20,000 men of the British army who died on that date, the worst day in the history of the British Army:
