This will be a hard one to crack - Geoff's search engine allows searching with name, initial and 'other', as well as the full range of options, and there are a dozen Browns, with the initial W (with extras in some cases), with 'Liverpool' in their details.

I though this one looked promising, but the address put me off but as my earlier posting the details on CWGC were inserted 8 years after WW1 so they may have moved.

Amongst St. Cyprian archives which I looked at during the week was the picture of St. Cyprian War Memorial and also a picture of Christ Church, Kensington War Memorial and I have just looked and there is a William Brown recorded on this memorial which I think is also the W. Brown recorded on St. Cyprian, from the list of the Boys Brigade we know he is also on there.

William
Gunner

Killed
Son of Jane Brown, of 53, Lennox St., Kensington, Liverpool, and the late George Brown.

Opinions welcome

In 1891 William and several of his siblings seem to be 'paupers' in Fazakerley District Cottage Homes.
