In 1911 at 26 Scourfield Street, Edge Hill were Philip Purcell 62 a Railway Hydraulic Fitter born Audlem, Cheshire and his wife Hannah 60, born Acton, Cheshire who had been married for 35 years and had 8 children. John Henry 25 Railway Bookroom Attendant, Frank 23 Bookbinder at a printers, James 21 a Butcher's Assistant, Richard 19 Yardsman for a Cooper and Philip 16 Railway Office Porter were all born in Edge Hill.
