In 1911 at 32 Toft Street, Holt Road, John Purves Spence 38 a Stereotyper, General Printing and his wife Alice 38 had been married 18 years, with 6 children. John 17 Stereotyper, General Printing, Robert 15 Clerk Sugar Trade, Alice 13, Ada 11, Ethel 9 and Leonard 11 months.

I wondered where Robert got his middle name from but it wouldn't appear to be his mother's maiden name, John P Spence married Alice E Shand in 1893 West Derby, Register Office or Registrar Attended.
