They must have moved to the Wirral shortly after their marriage, they are later living at 56 Grove Road, Wallasey, Alexander still a meat and cattle salesman, with their children Lily Hectorina b1901, Alexander b 1903, Alma b 1904, Flora b 1908 and Elva born 1911, together with Margaret's sister Eliza b 1880, who was a book keeper in a hotel. They later had another son in Liverpool, Donald b 1913.

MACDONALD: In loving but sad memory of my dearest, beloved husband, C.S.M Alexander, Killed in action, September 21 1917; also Lily our eldest child, who passed away April 13 1913, in her 13th year-Deeply mourned by his wife and children, Alex, Alma, Kora, Elva and Donald-Odsey Street.
