At 17 Lilac Grove, elder brother seems to have taken over the role of man of the household and completed the census form. Sarah, the mother b 1858 and widowed already by 1911 (4 children) and son Alfred Henry b 1887 both born in Liverpool. George Frederick b 1891 in Battersea, London was a Shop Assistant and John Ernest b 1898 in Bootle.

Alfred Henry's baptism on 23rd October 1887 (birth 23 April) at St Peter's gives his parents as Alfred Henry and Sarah Smith, abode Bradfield and father's occupation Book Keeper.

The missing child is Sarah Lilian baptised 3 February 1886 at St Cyprian's, abode 12 Bradfield Street.
