I have created a new post for each of the military men (can't call them soldiers as there are also naval and air force personnel). You might have an interest in a particular name and would like to do some research for him, so I am listing these to make it easier. Please add any research onto the post already created.
Some of these heroes have no information about them at all, some have entries from Katie's database of Wounded and others have entries from the Commonwealth War Graves Site. Don't take it for granted that the information put against each entry belongs to them, for example there are entries from the CWGC that have been linked by others but there is no evidence that this person has a connection with Liverpool, so it does need checking.
We already have discovered that there are discrepancies between spellings of names and we are hoping for an actual photograph of the memorial soon in order to check.

Re: List of names from the Memorial
I have updated the list above so that the names which need identifying are shown in red with a link to their thread. If you spot any I've missed please let me know.
The other names still need some work and I will continue the colour-coding (when I get time) to show which names are 'complete' and which still need researching.
As you can see from the small number of red names this is going really well, I appreciate all the time that is being put into this by so many of you and I'm sure you won't be disappointed by the end result!

Re: List of names from the Memorial
Thanks Bert, not one of my Brown's from Edge Hill then as far as I can tell.
My brother was christened at this church and I went to school just around the corner to Clint Road.
