He was a brewer's labourer, for Cain and Sons, living in 5 Gilead Street, Kensington.
A stamp on his Service record said 1914-1915 Star.
Receipt for the personal effects of 1592 Rifleman W A Brown, came from his mother, Ada M Brown, 36 Fell Street, Liverpool

Also in his service record, Army Form W 5080 is signed for his family by the vicar of St Cyprian's so I think we can confirm this is the right man.
