The above soldier appears in a Casualty list dated 21st-Oct-1915 as being gassed in action:-

A search on the national Archives records him as Private C. O Warples

On his Medal card on Ancestry is recorded "On SWB list M.G.C 1/66 as C.O Waples.
Looked on Freebmd and there was a birth registration for a Charles Oscar Waples, registered:-

2 entries is it for him. can't locate a connection to Liverpool, but I do know that some who served were not born in Liverpool etc. But he is is a Rank and file list and I will keep him.
